About This Journey
This journey is designed for travelers who want to enter China through both its grand civilization and its everyday life.
Beginning in Beijing, the journey opens with the imperial order of China: the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, hutong neighborhoods, and the ritual structure of the capital. From there, the route moves south into Nanjing, Suzhou, Tongli, and Shanghai, where republican memory, classical gardens, water towns, tea culture, and modern urban life reveal the softer and more refined world of Jiangnan.
The journey then turns inland to Luoyang and Xi’an, two ancient capitals where Buddhist caves, temples, the Yellow River, the Terracotta Army, and Silk Road memory bring travelers into the deeper foundations of Chinese civilization.
The final chapter takes place in Chengdu and western Sichuan. Here, the route shifts from monuments to living culture: pandas, teahouses, local parks, neighborhood markets, Sichuan cooking, Taoist mountains, Dujiangyan’s ancient water system, and a selected heritage experience such as Thangka sharing or Shu embroidery.
This is not only a classic China route. It is a cultural entry into how China was built, remembered, lived, and still felt today.

Transfer to the railway station and take the high-speed train to Nanjing.
Upon arrival, visit the Mausoleum of Sun Yat-sen, located in the scenic Zhongshan area. Nanjing introduces a different chapter of Chinese history: dynastic memory, republican ideals, mountain landscapes, and the political imagination of modern China.
Continue to Linggu Temple, where forest, temple space, and historical atmosphere create a quiet transition from Beijing’s imperial order to Jiangnan’s softer cultural landscape.
Enjoy free time before checking in.

Why This Journey Matters
The value of this route lies in how it connects China’s monumental history with living culture.

Luoyang and Xi’an bring travelers into the deep memory of Buddhism, ancient capitals, and archaeological wonder. Chengdu completes the journey by shifting the focus from monuments to everyday life — pandas, teahouses, markets, food, Taoist mountains, craft, and human warmth.
