About This Journey

This journey is designed for guests who want to experience Mount Qingcheng beyond a short scenic visit. The first day moves gradually from Chengdu into a quieter mountain setting, with local food, a deer manor visit, Hanfu photography, and time to settle into the natural surroundings of Yingmachuan. The second day is the heart of the journey. Guests follow a full-day Taoist-inspired wellness programme shaped by breathing, movement, seasonal food, meridian guidance, incense, meditation, and evening conversation. It is not presented as a medical programme, but as a cultural and experiential introduction to traditional Chinese ideas of body, breath, balance, and daily cultivation. On the final day, guests enter Mount Qingcheng through walking and climbing. There are no additional arranged temple visits; the emphasis is on the mountain itself—the forest, changing elevation, physical rhythm, and the quiet atmosphere traditionally associated with Qingcheng.

Day by Day

Day 1
Chengdu · Deer Manor · Yingmachuan

Depart from Chengdu in the morning and travel toward Mount Qingcheng. After a local lunch, enter a natural manor setting for close interaction with sika deer.
The afternoon includes a relaxed Hanfu experience, allowing guests to encounter traditional Chinese clothing and aesthetics within the mountain environment. Later, check in at Yingmachuan and leave enough time for rest, walking, private leisure, or a hot-spring experience according to the selected room and hotel arrangement.
The first day is intentionally gentle, helping guests move gradually from the pace of the city into a slower mountain rhythm.
Overnight: Yingmachuan

Day 2
Qingcheng: A Full Day of Mind-Body Practice

The second day follows a full-day programme inspired by traditional Chinese approaches to breath, movement, food, meridian awareness, incense, and inner stillness.
The day begins with morning exercise and breathing practice, followed by light seasonal meals and cultural learning. Afternoon sessions focus on breath-led movement and meridian guidance, while the evening moves into incense appreciation, seated meditation, and fireside conversation.
Guests may participate according to their physical condition and comfort level. The programme is a cultural wellness experience rather than medical treatment.
Overnight: Yingmachuan
Experience Note
The exact content, food ingredients, teachers, and order of activities may be adjusted according to season, venue arrangements, and guest condition.

Day 3
Mount Qingcheng Forest Hike · Return to Chengdu

After breakfast, check out and travel to the Mount Qingcheng scenic area.
The final day is devoted to climbing and walking through the mountain landscape. There are no additional specially arranged Taoist temple visits. Instead, the experience focuses on the forest, mountain paths, changing elevation, fresh air, and the quiet natural character expressed in the traditional phrase “Qingcheng, the most secluded under heaven.”
The route can be adjusted according to the guests’ physical ability, with either a fuller walking route or a combination of walking and scenic transport. After descending and having lunch, return to Chengdu.
*Important Note
The hiking route and duration may be adjusted according to weather, scenic-area transport, trail conditions, and the physical condition of the group.

Why This Journey Matters

The value of this journey lies in its progression from retreat to practice, and from practice back into the mountain.
The first day creates distance from the city and introduces the gentler pace of mountain living. The second day brings attention inward through breathing, movement, food, incense, and stillness. The third day turns that awareness outward again, allowing guests to experience Qingcheng through their own footsteps.
Rather than arranging multiple religious sites, this route leaves more space for the body, the forest, and the natural atmosphere of the mountain. It offers a more coherent experience of Qingcheng as both a cultural landscape and a place of quiet living.
